Saladin Nader

Saladin was an actor and near-victim of the Manson Family.  After dropping Watson, Krenwinkel and Van Houten at the LaBianca house, the remainder of the troop continued on.  Kasabian had previously had sex with Nader.  She, Grogan and Atkins went to his apartment building but Kasabian supposedly misled the group to the wrong apartment, thus sparing Nader's life.

Saladin's major acting role was the character Mansoor Bey in the movie "The Broken Wings" in 1962 (did not show in the USA until 1968).  It had long been thought that all copies of the movie were destroyed during Labanon's civil war but a damaged copy was found after many years.  You can read about it by clicking here.  Or you can order a copy from Amazon by clicking here.

The only other film I can find listed for Mr. Nader is "Embassy" from 1972 which starred Richard Roundtree and Chuck Connors.  Due to his western background, I wouldn't be too surprised if Chuck didn't film a bit a Spahn Movie Ranch.
